Isopropyl chloroformate is used as a reactive chemical intermediate. Chloroformates may be considered as possible intermediates for chemical compounds with structural groupslike carbonate, pyrocarbonate, urethane and others.
IPCF may be used in plastic, pharmaceutical, agricultural pesticide and organic chemical manufacturing.

IPCF must be stored under refrigeration below 30 o F, away from sunlight and heat sources.
Transfer IPCF from its container to storage tank or reactor only through a closed system using teflon-lined steel, nickel orglass lines and valves.
ALL PIPING SYSTEMS MUST BE CLEAN AND DRY.Metal handling systems must be electrically grounded.
