| Uses: |
Phenyl chloroformate is used as a reactive chemical intermediate, especially for chemical compounds containingcarbonate, pyrocarbonate, carbamate, urethane and others. PCF may be used in pharmaceutical, agricultural organic chemical and polycarbonate manufacturing. |
| Handling and Storage: |
Store PCF drums away from direct sunlight and other heat sources. Keep them in a cool, dry andwell-ventilated area to reduce fire hazards. PCF should be transferred from the container to a storage tank or a reactor through a closed system to prevent metal corrosion. Use polyethylene, polypropylene, glass or enamel-lined pipes and valves for transfer. ALL PIPING SYSTEMS MUST BE CLEAN AND DRY. PCF should avoid any contact with moisture, acids, dirt, rust or other chemicals to prevent violent and dangerous decompositions. |
